This is
probably the most important tip I can give to you all. Bet on what you know. If the
Premier League is your favorite league, and you devote your weekends to
watching Chelsea and Tottenham duke it out, then bet in that area. If you
prefer Barcelona and Real Madrid, maybe La Liga is right for you. Don’t like
the big leagues? Try some of the smaller ones like Seria B on Italy...
We all have our favorites, and while
the hours we pour into watching them may seem somewhat useless right now,
there’s a way to apply this knowledge in the real world. Find yourself knowing
exactly what’s going to happen in the next possession? Bet on it.
If you’ve
never watched the Bundesliga in your life, it’s probably not going to be a good
idea to place bets over there, no matter how many different guides you’ve read
or how many people are recommending you bet on a certain outcome. After all,
it’s your money that is at stake, so it’s entirely your responsibility to
decide what to do with it. Don’t leave your money in the hands of some stranger
on Twitter who you have never met.
Experience is
always a good thing, but it can also impair your logic and cause you to make
rash decisions. One thing you have to stay away from is allowing your personal
bias towards a certain team or player get in the way of your ultimate goal –
which should be to make a profit from your betting endeavors.
